I began volunteering with Patriot Siberian Husky Rescue (PSHR) in March of 2025. I am helping them manage their Facebook profile as well as helping with fundraising. I had been a follower of their FB page for a couple of years. Recently they’d posted they needed someone to help with fundraising. I’ve been volunteering over the years with different local organizations doing social media marketing and fundraising, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to use those skills to help huskies in need.

My husky story started in July of 2022 when I met Loki. I instantly fell in love with the breed. He’s not only beautiful, he’s the funniest dog I’ve ever met. The personality on him is crazy! He’s brought so much joy to our family. He’s energetic, goofy, mischievous, loving, loyal, talkative, and just plain silly. He greets neighbors with a “AWOOO!” on our morning walks which means “Good morning!” He’ll spot a neighbor in their driveway as we’re walking by and say “Woo” which means “Hi”. He makes strangers laugh, children smile, and other dogs look at him like he’s crazy.

I’ve launched a fundraising campaign through Givebutter to raise money for PSHR. Please read below and consider making a donation.

Help Us Give Huskies a Second Chance

PSHR is a group of volunteers in Northern New England whose mission is to find permanent, loving homes for Siberian Huskies in need through our unique referral program. At PSHR, we believe every husky deserves a loving, forever home. Huskies are known for their vibrant personalities and playful energy, and while they are an incredible breed, they sometimes find themselves in need of a new home due to changing circumstances. Whether it’s because of a move, life changes, or their previous owners being unable to meet their needs, many huskies face an uncertain future. Our goal is to connect these wonderful dogs with families who can provide them with the attention, love, and care they deserve.

Donations are an important way for us to continue to help the breed we love in any way possible. Please consider making a donation to help us help them. Also, if you can share our campaign with your friends, family, and social networks, we would appreciate it! The more people who know about these wonderful dogs, the more likely we are to find them the homes they deserve.
